Job Description:

The Project Management Office (PMO) is a critical function within the Cross Carline & Project Engineering organization and provides oversight of standardized processes and methodologies used to achieve technical, quality, timing, and cost targets.
The PMO Planning Specialist (Junior) supports the Platform and Project Planning Manager in achieving project timing, labor, and investment objectives for vehicle programs.



Key Responsibilities:


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate overall and phase-level project/program schedules to ensure execution timing alignment .
  • Create and manage bulletins and bulletin responses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop governance decks for product action requests.
  • Support achievement of labor, validation, and prototype financial targets.
  • Facilitate PMT meetings and Program Reviews.
  • Manage vehicle build plans and delivery schedules to support validation requirements.
  • Coordinate commercial launch planning (volumes and dates) with Brand teams, Plants, and Purchasing.
  • Interface closely with Vehicle Project Teams, Platform & Module Planning (QCTP) Managers, and the Chief Vehicle Engineer (CVE).
Required Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-directed mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred (Optional)

Skills:

  • Automotive industry experience at an OEM or Tier-1 supplier in one or more of the following areas:
    • Product Development Engineering
    • Program Management
    • Finance or Accounting
    • Quality
  • Program lifecycle experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing process fundamentals
