TrakSYS Support Engineer
Richmond, VA (Onsite)
Role Overview
The TrakSYS Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for TrakSYS-based MES solutions. This role involves diagnosing and resolving system issues, supporting end users, monitoring system performance, and ensuring seamless MES operations across manufacturing
Environments:
- Hands-on experience with TrakSYS MES (Version 12 preferred)
- Understanding of TrakSYS architecture and core configurations
- Knowledge of C#/.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with SQL Server, including queries and stored procedures
- Knowledge of IIS, Windows Server, and networking fundamentals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for TrakSYS MES applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure continuous uptime.
- Identify root causes of issues and coordinate resolutions with development, ERP, WMS, infrastructure, network, vendor, and business teams.
- Query and analyze SQL Server database tables to investigate and resolve data-related discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot TrakSYS integration issues with ERP systems, WMS platforms, and PLC environments.
- Troubleshoot TrakSYS configurations, including modules, services, and workflows, and implement required changes.
- Manage incidents and service requests through ticketing systems such as Service Now.
- Maintain support documentation, change logs, and knowledge base articles.
- Track SLAs, KPIs, and recurring issues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support scheduled maintenance activities, upgrades, and deployments.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience supporting TrakSYS MES environments.
- Strong understanding of TrakSYS architecture and configurations.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong SQL Server knowledge, including query development and stored procedures.
- Experience with IIS and Windows Server administration.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to work night shifts.
- Travel may be required between Richmond, VA and Hopkinsville, KY as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and production support environment.
