In most cases, it’s best to start with your primary care doctor whenever you have questions or concerns about your health. Primary care providers include doctors and advanced practice providers (APPs), such as physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Our primary care team includes three types of primary care providers:

The Nursing Manager is a Registered Nurse who is accountable for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating the delivery of patient care at multiple sites or departments. Provides clinic leadership and works in partnership with nursing, the health care team and leadership to assure quality patient care. Care is provided in accordance with departmental, Henry Ford Medical Group and Henry Ford Health policies and procedures.

Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services. In conjunction with the Administrator, assumes responsibility for fiscal management of clinic/department.

Henry Ford Medical Center - Bloomfield Township offers adult and pediatric primary care, women’s health, and a variety of specialty services. Pharmacy, lab and radiology are on site.

Henry Ford Medical Center - Farmington Road

6530 Farmington Rd West Bloomfield,MI48322

Henry Ford Medical Center – Farmington Road in West Bloomfield has physicians specializing in adult and pediatric primary care, physical therapy, radiology, occupational therapy and dermatology, including laser therapies and phototherapy. We also offer a convenient on-site pharmacy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor s Degree in nursing or related field required.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
• Master s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five (3-5) years of progressively more responsible experience demonstrating leadership skills in a clinical setting required.
• Some examples include Charge Nurse Duties;
  Leadership of special projects such as Service Excellence teams;
  Quality Improvement initiatives, Clinic Process Redesign.
• Must have experience as a RN Supervisor or above
• Experience managing multiple sites preferred
• Experience with Ambulatory/Clinic Setting Preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage complex clinical, administrative, and interpersonal problems.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Maintains professional competency through review of current literature, attendance at educational programs, and participation in professional organizations.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES

REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
