Help bring comfort to families grieving the loss of a loved one. At Amedisys Compassionate Care, we support families for 13 months after a patient’s passing, and our Bereavement Volunteers play a key role in that care.
What You’ll DoChoose the type of outreach that fits you best:
- Phone calls to check in and offer support
- In‑person visits for companionship and connection
- Handwritten notes or cards to remind families they’re not alone
- Training in grief support
- Ongoing guidance from our bereavement team
- Flexible scheduling
Compassionate, reliable, a good listener, and comfortable offering gentle support during a vulnerable time.
