Job DescriptionPosition: Business Specialist
Supervisor: Business Manager and Finance Director
Work Schedule: Contract Days: 249, Contract
Hours:
8 hours/day, Non-Exempt
- High school diploma; additional account experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with solid mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficient in operating standard office equipment, including PCs and related systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and financial software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Skilled in interacting courteously and tactfully with staff and the public.
- Proven ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and discretion.
- Committed to maintaining strict confidentiality.
Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling.
Performance Responsibilities- Collect hours worked data for all district employees.
- Maintain employee cumulative time information.
- Verify and post employee leave entries.
- Management of employee benefits.
- Compile data for managing Affordable Care Act eligibility and reporting requirements.
- Maintain Time and Effort Reporting documents and reports.
- Receipt money received in the Business Office.
- Upload, maintain and monitor monthly request for reimbursements (RFR's).
- Communicate with locations to verify information submitted to Business Office, when needed.
- Clerical duties: filing, faxing, copying, etc.
- Daily mail/bank runs for Business Office.
- Will cross train with other positions in Business Office, as time allows.
- Other duties, as assigned.
