- Oversee the implementation of small‑group support based on STAR Assessment® data.
- Implement skill‑building and read‑aloud components facilitated by Save the Children trained literacy tutors.
- Support literacy tutors in planning and implementing the literacy program.
- Provide feedback to literacy tutors on best practices in literacy.
- Administer pre‑ and post‑assessments for children participating in Save the Children programming.
- Structure the schedule of activities.
- Organize children into groups based on grade levels and reading levels.
- Collaborate with the Healthy Choices Coordinator to group children appropriately.
- Support literacy tutors in planning and implementation.
- Provide feedback to literacy tutors on best practices in literacy.
- Provide feedback to Healthy Choices Coordinator on best practices for physical activity and nutrition education.
- Communicate regularly with the Save the Children Lead Associate.
- Record program attendance.
- Work with math tutor(s) to structure the schedule of the math block.
- Organize children into groups based on grade/ability levels.
- Support math tutor(s) in planning and implementation of daily lessons and activities, as per the pacing guide.
- Provide feedback to math tutor(s) on best practices in hands‑on learning, math routines, and basic fact fluency.
- Assist with administering the STAR assessments and analyzing the data.
- Address individual children’s needs with appropriate staff and devise possible solutions.
- Communicate regularly with their Lead Associate.
– Roles & Responsibilities
- Engage families in programming and complete the Family Engagement Checklist and Planning Guide.
- Implement site‑selected family engagement activities throughout the year.
- Conduct at least two family engagement events during the program year.
- Collaborate with school administration to align program with school‑wide family engagement practices.
- Communicate regularly with Lead Associate regarding family engagement activities.
- Conduct the required Family Post‑Survey and encourage completion.
- Submit family engagement data to Save the Children for analysis.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed, fostering a safe environment for children.
- Collaborate with the Lead Associate to train staff on safeguarding and data protection policies.
- Ensure consistent reporting of child safeguarding risks and incidents.
- Keep data protected by collecting consent and maintaining secure records.
- Complete all required safeguarding trainings.
- Maintain compliance with child‑welfare policies and reporting protocols.
