Under the general supervision of the site principal, the IRS focuses on student achievement and instructional support for core subject areas (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies) as indicated in the BHS 90 Day Plan. The IRS will assist in non‑formal evaluative classroom observations and feedback sessions to develop and improve instructional practices. The IRS will collaborate with and support teachers in data‑driven instructional practices that support individualized student needs and lead to improved academic performance.
Collaboration and instructional support will be provided through professional development and data support.

Hours:
7 per day
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or related field) with proven abilities in Data‑Driven Instruction;
Master’s Degree preferred. - Valid Level 3 New Mexico Teaching License (Administrative License Preferred).
- Valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed.
- Proven abilities in reading and/or math preferred.
- Gifted endorsement preferred or willing to pursue gifted endorsement.
Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving light furniture may be required.
Performance Responsibilities- Model and support effective instructional strategies.
- Complete regular classroom walkthroughs and feedback sessions to support instruction.
- Coach teachers with a growth mindset to support development toward Level D3 & D4 competencies.
- Provide and facilitate professional development as assigned and as needed for instructional improvement.
- Gather and interpret data to support and improve instruction.
- Provide Teacher Action Plan support and follow up through walkthroughs and feedback sessions.
- Utilize CFAs and CIAs (Edulastic) as a computer skill.
- Serve on and provide support for the 90 Day Plan Core Team.
- Support development of curriculum and effective lesson plans.
- Participate in and support PLCs.
- Assist teachers in advancement to Level 2 and Level 3 in the NMPED tiered licensure system.
- Organize interventions, including tutoring programs, to improve student achievement.
- Assist with assessment processes, data collection for program planning and completion of required reports.
- Monitor and guide teachers in using student assessment data to guide instructional change.
- Facilitate communication with the leadership team, school staff, and community regarding academic issues.
- Serve as a member of the SAT/RtI process.
- Serve on district‑level committees as required.
Must be able to work within varying degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self‑motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. After‑hour work and site or home visits may be required and appropriate.
