Job Title: Order Expediter
Location: Bloomingdale, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shift
Pay: $50,000 base + up to 5% merit-based bonus

As an Order Expediter
, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer orders ship on time according to agreed-upon lead times. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this position is responsible for coordinating across internal departments throughout the manufacturing process, proactively identifying at-risk orders, and maintaining clear communication with both sales representatives and customers.

Key Responsibilities Order Tracking & Coordination- Work closely with all departments to track work orders throughout the manufacturing process
- Use Big Bolt’s ERP system to monitor work order status on the shop floor
- Communicate with Purchasing regarding all outside service inquiries
- Proactively communicate with sales representatives regarding orders at risk of becoming past due
- Provide customers with timely and accurate order status updates
- Act as a central point of contact to ensure expectations are clearly communicated and managed
- Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with additional responsibilities as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for satisfaction and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems
- Associate’s Degree (Business Administration or similar preferred)
- 2+ years of customer service experience preferred
- Prior experience in the fastener or manufacturing industry is a plus, but not required
- Eagerness to learn the industry and grow within the organization
