Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Bloomingdale!
This Direct-Hire opportunity places you in a high-precision aerospace environment where your machining expertise matters. This team builds turbine blades and vanes for major global OEMs and military programs, and they need someone who can own EDM process development, drive grinding excellence, and push new product machining strategies forward.
You'll work with advanced CNC, EDM, and CBN grinding technologies while shaping processes that define accuracy, repeatability, and production success. It's a strong opportunity to join a respected, industry-leading manufacturer known for technical depth, stability, and long-term growth.
Responsibilities- Lead development, optimization, and qualification of machining processes for turbine blades and vanes using EDM, CNC milling, and grinding
- Build machining strategies, tooling plans, parameters, and process controls that improve accuracy, repeatability, and throughput
- Serve as the primary customer engineering contact for technical communication, change requests, and legacy product restarts
- Partner with Quality, Operations, and Tooling teams on audits, AS9100 and FAI documentation, corrective actions, and manufacturing solutions
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce scrap and stabilize production
- Program and verify EDM and grinding operations using Mastercam, Solid Works, and related CAD/CAM tools
- Support operators, troubleshoot on the floor, and maintain a strong hands-on presence
- Mentor junior engineers and support daily technical problem-solving
Annual salary is $110,000 - $120,000+ DOE.
