About the Job
Korpackis a food-grade, SQF-certified contract packaging company that has landed on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing companies three times in the last six years— andwe'renot slowing down.
We'rein the middle of adding roughly
150,000square feetof operating space, which means wedon'tjust have inefficiencies to fix. We have an entire footprint to design right the first time.
That'swhere you come in.
We'relooking for an Industrial Engineer who physically cannot walk past waste without wanting to kill it. Someone who sees a forklift making the same trip four times and starts sketching a better layout in their head. Someone who looks at a production line and sees not what it runs today, but what itshouldrun.
The Journey
You'llreport to our Director of Manufacturing Operations and become the engineering brain behind how product, people, and materials move through our buildings.
You'llalso partner with our Distribution & Supply Chain team on projects where material flow and warehouse design cross paths — because at Korpack, the walls between departments are lower than the racking.
Early on,you'llget your hands dirty: time studies, line balancing, changeover analysis, material move mapping. From there, you'lltake on the projects that move the needle — automation opportunities, throughput improvements, and layout design for our expansion.
You'llturn tribal knowledge into documented standards inside our ERP, so what we learn scales with us instead of walking out the door at 3:30.
What Success Looks Like
- Throughput rates climb, and you can prove it with data — not anecdotes
- Material touches per order go down; every move a forklift makes has a reason
- Automation projects go from idea → justification → installed → paying for themselves
- Overhead cost per unit trends the right direction, quarter after quarter
- Our expansion footprint is designed for flow from day one, not retrofitted later
- Standards, layouts, and labor models live in systems, not in someone's head
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience that proves you can do the work
- Demonstrated experience with automation projects— scoping, justifying, implementing, andvalidatingresults
- Track recordofimproving throughput in a real production environment (line balancing, changeover reduction, bottleneck analysis)
- Experience analyzing and redesigning material flow and material handling— layouts, move frequency, touch…
