Pay Range: $60,100 USD to $75,100 USD
DESCRIPTIONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and monitor day‑to‑day operation of assigned area(s), including workflow, management of work in process, job assignments, and rotations to ensure smooth flow and efficient production.
- Participate in the scheduling process, reviewing advance production schedules to communicate issues proactively and coordinate schedules with leads and employees to meet daily targets.
- Produce and review daily production reports for schedule adherence, efficiencies, and other data; provide reports and information to managers as required.
- Ensure key performance indicators in the production area are met or exceeded, measuring productivity daily toward meeting standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to obtain supplies, products, equipment, and services necessary to meet schedules.
- Work with other supervisors to solve common issues and build teamwork across all shifts, recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Monitor product quality and collaborate with Quality to ensure specifications are met; oversee quality control to confirm all products and packaging are neat, clean, and correctly labeled.
- Ensure safety and quality policies and procedures are followed and enforced.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, recommending improvement ideas.
- Support positive employee relations, fair treatment, and respect in all interactions; address concerns promptly and value diverse perspectives.
- Engage in team performance through setting objectives, measuring results, and providing guidance and coaching.
- Participate in Tier II meetings.
- Consistently adhere to the Core Values of NOW and align team objectives with operating tenets.

Support a culture of safe production and exhibit safe work practices. Participate in safety initiatives, report incidents and hazards immediately, and use protective equipment appropriately. Facilitate safety training and inspections, and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervise production employees on the shift, complying with all rules, policies, regulations, and quality standards. Conduct hiring, training, performance appraisals, rewards, disciplinary actions, and problem resolution.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE- Associate’s degree or at least three years’ related experience in a food manufacturing or GMP environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience in a GMP environment required.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, including 5S and Lean practices, is helpful.
- Intermediate Word and Excel skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulatory documents; write reports and business correspondence; present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, or visitors. Oral and written Spanish skills are preferred.
MATH SKILLSAbility to calculate proportions, percentages, and metric or volume‑to‑weight conversions.
PERFORMANCE ABILITYCoordinating and leading the team in daily activities to meet KPIs, emphasizing safety, food safety, and quality. Demonstrate real‑time critical decision making and proactive staffing decisions. Collaborate with other departments, model NOW’s core values, and work at both 391 and 395 facilities.
