Pay: $20.55 to $25.47 USD

Responsibilities
  • Independently performs environmental monitoring as written in NOW’s Microbiology Laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Performs routine environmental monitoring of surfaces, water, and air.
  • Performs visual inspection of production workstations for maintenance and sanitation work orders.
  • Collects swab samples for ATP, Allergen, and Pathogen testing.
  • Collects air and water samples for testing.
  • Reports environmental monitoring results for trending.
  • Communicates with other departments regarding corrective actions, out-of-specifications and out-of-trend results.
  • Monitors soap and sanitizer concentration on all sanitation rooms.
  • Complies with Safety and cGMP requirements.
Safety Responsibilities

Supports a culture of safe production and exhibits safe work practices. Actively participates in the safety program by engaging in safety activities and providing constructive peer‑to‑peer feedback. Adheres to policies, procedures, SOPs, and safety procedures. Reports all workplace incidents immediately and communicates concerns and hazards. Properly uses, wears, and stores Personal Protective Equipment when required. Participates on safety teams and/or completes safety‑related activities as part of regular job responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    HS diploma or equivalent and six months experience working in a cGMP environment or equivalent combination of experience and education. Knowledge of cGMP regulations required.

    Demonstrated competency as shown by accuracy of work and meeting productivity levels set by the supervisor. Consistently meets quality, safety, performance, and efficiency goals.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described include the ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, use hands to finger, handle, and feel, reach with hands and arms, and crouch or half kneel. Regularly required to enter information into a computer and handle product in various stages and forms. Requires lifting, moving, and carrying items up to 50 lbs., pushing and pulling for forces up to 65 lbs.

Work Environment
  • Frequently near moving mechanical parts and exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and airborne particles classified as allergens or irritants.
  • Widespread exposure to FDA‑designated major food allergens, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, botanicals, and chemicals such as alcohol that may require respiratory protection.
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and biological materials.
  • Noise levels usually moderately loud; hearing protection may be required in some areas.
  • Travel to other facilities may be required.
