Tax Manager

Job Description

The Tax Manager plays an integral role in our Tax Department by providing high quality tax services for clients and management of staff within a supportive, team environment. We are looking for a strong candidate willing to work hard with a goal of achieving partner status in the near future. Ability to bring in business is a strong plus for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain client relationships and manage client accounts
• Contribute to practice development and professional networking and possess the ability to attract new clients
• Recommend tax strategies and perform complex research
• Supervise IRS, state, and local government tax audits, notices, and correspondence
• Review of corporate returns including consolidated and multi-state entities
• Review of individual and partnership tax returns
• Supervise, mentor and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
• Proven success in identifying and selling additional services
• Represent the firm in professional and service organizations

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, MST preferred
• CPA license
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
