PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for the procurement, coordination, and supply of AG chemicals to meet the demands of the member cooperatives for both the U.S. and Canadian markets.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Serves as the primary backup for the Procurement & Operations Manager and provides leadership, as needed, to the Crop Protection & Specialty Product Supply Associate.

Responsible for various supply chain aspects of a multi-million $ Crop Protection business. Coordinates with various business leaders to identify appropriate supply needs and make effective sourcing decisions. Utilizes qualified suppliers while implementing technologies, processes, policies and procedures to support an efficient, effective and profitable supply chain process.

Maintains and administers the into-stock ordering of crop protection products.

Manages Crop Protection supply chain inventories to ensure ample supply of cost competitive product is available to member cooperatives to effectively meet their needs in a consistent manner. Ensures inventory management is aligned with the department’s and customers’ overall marketing plans and strategies.

Monitors and reports warehouse inventory for slow moving and obsolete inventory products. Monitors, reconciles and manages consignment inventories.

Responsible for monitoring and communicating the status of all allocated Crop Protection products to the Crop Protection team and customers. Provides information to the Customers and Crop Protection team regarding alternative products and planning for the allocated products.

Manages the Crop Protection product return program and is responsible for the approval of returns to the warehouse and GROWMARK Suppliers.

Collaborates with Crop Protection Business Manager in identifying and reconciling the receipt of crop protection payments from suppliers, including program payments, and subsequent accurate distribution to proper accounts. May include working with a Supplier and/or Supplier Account Manager to reconcile any uncovered discrepancies. Also collaborates with Crop Protection Business Manager to establish Pre-Pay potentials with Suppliers.

Collaborates with the Logistics Department to ensure that delivery and order service programs are efficient and economical for GROWMARK as well as member cooperatives.

Collaborates with Order Processing Services (OPS) to investigate and bring resolution to Supplier invoice discrepancies.

Coordinates and administers the reporting of GROWMARK System inventories to suppliers, according to the specific inventory protection programs maximizing available inventory protection dollars.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Coordinates with the Crop Protection Management Team to provide 24-hour assistance available to members during the AG chemical busy season. This includes weekend and evening coverage on a revolving basis

Prepares inventory, purchase, sales and other reports as requested

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a college degree in marketing or business-related field, or the equivalent thereof, and 4 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate the ability to provide crop protection supply leadership to the GROWMARK System.
