Manager, Care Management Support

The Manager, Care Management Support, contributes to the administration of care management by providing non‑clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members’ needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state. The Manager guides members and families toward and facilitates interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Manager works within specific guidelines and procedures, applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems, receives assignments in the form of objectives, and determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals.

The Manager’s decisions are typically related to resources, approaches, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving the departmental area. The Manager requires cross‑departmental collaboration, conducts briefings and area meetings, and maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department. The Manager, Care Management Support, performs the following duties:

• Provides non‑clinical support to assess and evaluate members’ needs.
• Guides members/families toward resources for care and wellbeing.
• Works within guidelines and applies technical knowledge to solve problems.
• Determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals for assignments.
• Decides on resources, approaches, and tactical operations for projects.
• Collaborates with cross‑departmental teams and conducts briefings and area meetings.
• Maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

• Must reside in Illinois
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 or more years of technical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• 3 or more years of management experience
• Demonstrated ability to conduct briefings and area meetings using excellent organizational and communication skills
• Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Ability to use a variety of electronic information applications/software programs including electronic medical records
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data trends
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with internal and external customers and stakeholders
• Proven critical thinking, organization, written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills

• Master’s degree in business or a related field
• Previous experience working in a managed care field
• 5 or more years of previous management/supervisor level experience
