This position provides exemplary customer service and support to both internal and external constituents, assisting prospective students in locating and obtaining services and delivering timely and accurate information that facilitates movement through the enrollment funnel. The role requires a strong working knowledge of all admissions service areas, the ability to collaborate with Student Affairs offices on complex inquiries, and proficiency in researching, investigating, and resolving both simple and complex student issues with minimal supervision.

Additional specialized project work may be assigned based on Office of Admissions needs, and administrative tasks such as data entry, record management, and document imaging are also part of the responsibilities. The incumbent is expected to advance the college’s strategic goals by promoting equity in educational outcomes and fostering a culturally responsive, service-oriented culture.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to respectfully engage clients, coworkers, and customers when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Skill in data entry sufficient to compile, sort, and verify data accuracy before entering, and the ability to check input and output data for completeness, accuracy, and discrepancies.
  • Ability to interpret and explain program information to customers, clients, and coworkers, such as policy, procedures, eligibility requirements, application details, and payment methods.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Skills in information interpretation, computation, and the ability to work well under pressure while dealing with people professionally.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and make appropriate decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to creating equitable experiences for diverse student populations.
  • Experience providing at least one year of direct customer service in a college or university setting.
  • Knowledge of Normandale academic programs, requirements, and admissions processes.
  • Demonstrated initiative to troubleshoot and correct incomplete or complicated application and admissions issues.
  • Knowledge of college, Minnesota State, federal, state, and local laws, rules, policies, and procedures pertaining to student data privacy, FERPA, and admissions.
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish, Somali, Hmong, or Russian.
