Overview
Randolph & Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team of dental professionals in Bloomington, IL! We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Compensation
- $23+ an hour based on experience
- Part-time position
- The owner and Office Manager are the supervisors of this position

- 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge of dentistry, particularly dental procedures, instruments, and hygiene
- Experience administering dental X-rays
- Technical skills and proficiency with dental, scheduling, office, and other software
- Customer service and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable during appointments
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills, general office aptitude
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience working with children preferred
- Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
- Current CPR certification required
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
- Take and process X-rays of patients
- Process lab work for the dentist
Greet patients as they arrive for appointments - Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene
- Update and maintain dental records
- Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental clinic
