Overview

Randolph & Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team of dental professionals in Bloomington, IL! We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Compensation

  • $23+ an hour based on experience
  • Part-time position
  • The owner and Office Manager are the supervisors of this position

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Knowledge of dentistry, particularly dental procedures, instruments, and hygiene
  • Experience administering dental X-rays
  • Technical skills and proficiency with dental, scheduling, office, and other software
  • Customer service and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable during appointments
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills, general office aptitude
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
  • Current CPR certification required
Specific Duties
  • Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists
  • Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
  • Take and process X-rays of patients
  • Process lab work for the dentist

    Greet patients as they arrive for appointments
  • Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene
  • Update and maintain dental records
  • Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental clinic
