Hospital is seeking a BC Psychiatrist that has a Fellowship in Adolescent/Child psychiatry. The facility has 362 licensed beds between two campuses. The area's most comprehensive behavioral health services is on this campus. They have about 60 beds dedicated to mental health. The child /Adolescent unit has 23 beds; they are just about always full. They currently have three full time Child/Adolescent Psychiatrists.
With the addition of another physician, it will be a 1:4 call schedule. The doctors all round on their own patients during the week; usually in the morning and then have clinic in the afternoon. Call starts on Friday evening-the doctors come in Saturday and Sunday to round on the floor. They rotate holidays. Typical patients are ADHD, Autism, Panic Disorder and Depression.
The inpatient accepts are children ages 4 to 18. Initial evaluations are normally 1 hour and follow up visits are 30 minutes. The EMR system is Epic. The salary range is at the top of the MGMA range. There is a full benefits package including Medical/Prescription drugs, Dental and Vision Plans. Life insurance, short and long term disability, retirement savings plan funded by the hospital.
