Onward Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Spanish 3rd Grade General Education Teacher to join a supportive school community in DuPage County, Illinois
. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction in both Spanish and English while fostering academic achievement, bilingual literacy, and cultural appreciation. This educator will create an engaging classroom environment that supports all learners, including English Language Learners (ELLs), and collaborate closely with families and school staff to promote student success.

• Deliver standards-based instruction in both Spanish and English in accordance with the district's bilingual education program.
• Teach reading and writing in Spanish while developing students' English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Provide engaging instruction in core academic subjects, including mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Integrate U.S. history and culture alongside the history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and language needs of students, including English Language Learners (ELLs).
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate student performance with families.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, bilingual specialists, special education staff, and administrators.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and community engagement activities.
• Uphold district policies and maintain professional and ethical standards.

• Elementary Education endorsement appropriate for 3rd grade.
• Illinois Bilingual Education Endorsement (Spanish) or eligibility to obtain one.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of bilingual education, second-language acquisition, and ESL instructional strategies.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for supporting multilingual learners and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

• Previous experience teaching in a bilingual or dual-language classroom.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students.
• Familiarity with Illinois Learning Standards and bilingual education requirements.
