Position: Maintenance Technician #26200

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a mobility technology organization, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for supporting laboratory operations, maintaining complex test systems, and executing reliability testing for electrified powertrain and vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineers to ensure test readiness, troubleshoot issues, and maintain efficient laboratory operations.

Job Duties
  • Install, configure, and maintain test properties across complex powertrain and vehicle system test equipment
  • Execute reliability and validation tests while minimizing equipment downtime
  • Troubleshoot test failures and document findings for engineering review
  • Prioritize and complete critical tasks while supporting active testing operations
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble production and prototype hardware
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineering teams
  • Develop and maintain electronic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Train team members on standardized testing and laboratory procedures
  • Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory and test equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe testing environment
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings and contribute status updates
  • Document daily activities, test results, and maintenance records electronically
Skills & Experience Required
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience in Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field
  • Experience operating and maintaining laboratory or test equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems
  • Experience in disassembling and reassembling complex hardware assemblies
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation and SOPs
  • Experience documenting work electronically using standard software tools
  • Understanding of safety procedures within a laboratory or testing environment
  • Familiarity with reliability, validation, or durability testing processes
  • Experience working with prototype hardware and development test systems
  • Knowledge of data acquisition, instrumentation, and test control systems
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance on engineering test equipment
  • Exposure to root cause analysis and failure investigation methodologies
  • Experience training technicians or engineers on standardized procedures
