Key Responsibilities
- Support conceptual project design, including major equipment selection, technical specifications, site layouts, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Coordinate engineering activities across internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Review engineering deliverables and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Manage relationships with external engineering consultants, contractors, and technical partners.
- Participate in technical evaluations, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
- Support permitting activities, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with local authorities where required.
- Assist during project construction by reviewing RFIs, technical submittals, commissioning plans, and field quality activities.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support schedule and budget objectives.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience within the power, energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience supporting engineering design and project execution activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with high-voltage electrical systems, substations, grid infrastructure, renewable energy, or energy storage projects.
- Knowledge of electrical design, protection and control systems, and engineering studies.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contractor deliverables.
- Exposure to construction, commissioning, testing, and project closeout activities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure preferred.
