Bioprocessing Solutions Engineer

Job Description

Seeking for a Bioprocessing Solutions Engineer to be accountable for maintaining accurate records and revisions on bioprocessing drawings for customers, as well as assisting the Head of Bioprocessing Solutions with preparing drawings and obtaining vendor part numbers. This position is expected to work with sales representatives and be able to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers. The company has recently invested in ISO 9001:2015 sterile clean rooms to assemble custom, single-use tubing assemblies and drawings as a solution for our client's Life Sciences drug manufacturing needs.

The position reports directly to the Head of Bioprocessing Solutions and to the CEO.

• Assist the Head of Bioprocessing solutions with preparing drawings and revision records
• Work closely with the Head of Bioprocessing solutions, sales representatives, and customers to identify and implement process innovations that will increase production yields, equipment reliability, and overall process performance
• Troubleshoot and provide active support to resolve customer issues in drug manufacturing processes.
• Support tubing assembly by assisting in quote preparations
• Identifying and documenting the correct supplier part number and ensuring it is accurately depicted on the drawings
• Assist management with potential tubing assembly process improvements - from revision control to quoting and purchasing/managing supplier parts once customer sales orders are received

• 3-10 years of experience or equivalent experience as a bioprocessing engineer (Single-use assemblies)
• Bachelors degree in chemical engineering and biotechnology is highly desired
• Enhanced proficiency with CAD drawing program required
• Familiarity with working in sterile, ISO 9001:2015 organization, preferred
