RELATIONSHIP BANKER FIRST STATE BANK AND TRUST BLOOMINGTON, IL
At First State Bank and Trust, we have established ourselves as a trusted financial institution. Serving seven markets across Central Illinois, our community bank provides a full range of services to retail and commercial customers.
This Relationship Banker position is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Retail Branch at our offices within the retirement communities of Westminster Village and Luther Oaks (both located in Bloomington, IL). This individual represents the bank within these communities and serves as a liaison between the bank and the Management of those organizations.
This position serves as both teller and personal banker to meet the branch office needs and is responsible for the accurate processing of customer transactions as well as opening new accounts and helping customers choose the right financial products to meet their unique needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage day-to-day branch operations.
- Conduct routine transactions within established guidelines, including cashing checks, accepting deposits, processing withdrawals, and handling loan payments.
- Open new accounts, helping customers choose the right financial products to meet their unique needs.
- Provide great customer service, including greeting customers warmly and professionally, actively listening to customer needs and addressing inquiries promptly, and handling customer complaints or concerns with empathy and efficiency.
- Educate customers about our products and services. Cross-sell relevant banking products based on customer profiles.
- Safeguard customers' personal information and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the bank.
- Remain alert to potential fraud and take necessary precautions.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience as a Teller, Personal Banker or Financial Service representative preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
