Apply today to become a vital part of helping us advocate for Illinois agriculture and support Illinois farm families.# About the role Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with defined controls, standards, and regulations.

Compiles and analyzes financial information. Develops and maintains accounting methods and procedures to improve departmental operations and controls.

- Prepares standard and specialized financial statements and reports in compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

- Reviews and approves journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with defined controls and standards.

- Responsible for fixed assets, prepaids, and investment subledgers. Posts transactions related to corporate bank account ledgers. Assists with cash management between financial accounts.

- Assists in financial audits and other related internal reviews.

- Assists with ACH operations and regulatory compliance.

- Responsible for operational and regulatory processes and activities related to unclaimed property administration and reporting. Performs necessary tasks to recover corporate unclaimed funds, as required.#
* Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
* CPA‐track or interest in pursuing CPA strongly preferred
* Experience with accounting processes, reconciliations, and month‐end close
* Experience in a credit union or regulated financial institution preferred
* Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
* Understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
* Familiarity with audit support, internal controls, and financial reporting a plus
* Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and teamwork mindset
*** Position level and responsibilities will align with education, experience, and demonstrated skill level.
***** Base Pay Range:**$51,600-$70,950

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
** Incentive Pay:
** In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
