- Lead all financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, revenue cycle oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to executive leadership and the Board
- Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital initiatives
- Evaluate operating performance, margins, labor costs, service-line profitability, and other key hospital financial metrics
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial discipline, accountability, and decision-making
- Oversee the annual budget and forecast process and strengthen financial planning processes where needed
- Support revenue cycle performance, including patient collections, reimbursement trends, denials, AR, and payer mix
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare accounting, regulatory, audit, and reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with auditors, lenders, banks, and other external stakeholders as needed
- Evaluate the strength and structure of the finance organization and provide leadership, mentoring, and recommendations for improvement
- Support strategic initiatives, capital planning, cost reduction, and performance improvement efforts
- Assist with the transition to a permanent CFO, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and onboarding support
- Prior CFO or senior financial leadership experience within a hospital or health system
- Strong understanding of nonprofit healthcare financial operations
- Experience with hospital reimbursement, revenue cycle, payer mix, Medicare/Medicaid, and managed care
- Proven ability to manage cash flow, liquidity, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of healthcare accounting and financial controls
- Experience presenting financial results and recommendations to Boards and executive leadership
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a hands-on interim or transformation environment
- Experience stabilizing finance functions, improving processes, and leading teams through change
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- CPA, MBA, or other relevant advanced credential preferred
