Overview

The Scribe assists physician/provider in documenting details of the patient visit via the electronic medical record, and performs other related clerical duties to increase physician/provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction

Medical Terminology

• Accompanies physician/mid-level into patient exam rooms to transcribe physical exam and document patients encounter Documents accurately physician exam findings, assessment and plan as well as any procedures in EMR.
• Ensures all proper diagnosis codes are listed.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, use of discretion.
• Proofreads and edits all physicians' medical documents for accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Entry of patient appointment "ticklers" at physicians direction.
• Compiles surgical/informational folders as needed by the nursing staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

The compensation range for this position is $16.59 per hour - $26.88 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
