Chestnut is seeking Behavioral Health Clinicians to join our growing team in Bloomington, Illinois. • Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments.
• Partner with clients to develop individualized treatment, continuing care, and discharge plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
• Facilitate psycho educational, therapeutic, and skills‑based groups.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, recovery specialists, case managers, and community partners to coordinate client care.
• Participate in court‑involved and justice‑related services when assigned.
• Support interns, students, or other team members as appropriate.
• Promote trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented care in every client interaction.
• Uphold Chestnut’s standards for customer service excellence while maintaining confidentiality of all client and organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program and organizational needs.

Behavioral Health Clinician I candidates may qualify through any one of the following pathways

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another related human services field.
• Bachelor’s degree in another field with two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Active Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential in good standing with the State of Illinois.
• Active Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential in good standing with the State of Illinois.
