The position will also collaborate to enhance services and use data analysis to identify trends and work with community partners on strategies to reduce preventable fatalities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong commitment to customer service, a data analysis mindset, and self-motivation to initiate partnerships and services. This role requires a leader with effective communication skills who can lead both daily operations and the long-range planning of the department.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, biology, emergency medicine, forensic science, criminal justice, or a related field.

Experience:

Experience in medicolegal death investigation, emergency response, law enforcement, public health, or related analytical roles including supervisory roles.

Knowledge:
Budget preparation and management, death investigation practices, evidentiary responsibilities, and Wisconsin statutes and case law relevant to the duties of the position.

Skillset: A responsive individual, committed to compassionate customer service, having a solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify, analyze, and communicate trends and emerging issues in preventable fatalities.
