Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist — Independent Contractor

Winning Communication is seeking a warm, motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing practice as an independent contractor providing Illinois Early Intervention services to children birth to age 3 and their families.

This position is ideal for an SLP who wants the flexibility and autonomy to build a caseload that fits their life
, while also having access to professional support and mentorship from an experienced pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist.

We believe clinicians do their best work when they have flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful support.

As an independent contractor with Winning Communication
, you can:

• Create a flexible schedule around your availability
• Gradually build a caseload that works for you
• Select families and geographic areas that fit your schedule and preferred service area
• Receive mentorship and support as you navigate the Illinois Early Intervention system
• Develop your skills in family-centered coaching and natural-environment intervention
• Work directly with infants, toddlers, and caregivers in a meaningful, relationship-based setting
• Be part of a small, SLP-owned practice where clinicians are valued as individuals

$55-65 per completed 60-minute visit
, based on Illinois Early Intervention credential status and experience.

• Temporary EI credential: $55 per completed 60-minute visit
• Full EI credential: $60 + commiserate on experience per completed 60-minute visit

This is a 1099 independent contractor position
. Contractors determine their availability and build a caseload based on their preferred schedule and geographic service area.

Winning Communication serves families within Illinois Early Intervention CFC 5 with the ability to increase to other CFCs in the Chicagoland area
.

Services are provided primarily in children's natural environments, including homes and community settings like daycares.

Candidates should have:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Illinois Early Intervention credential, temporary credential, or willingness/eligibility to obtain EI credentialing
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for visits
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A warm, collaborative approach to working with young children and their caregivers

Previous Illinois Early Intervention experience is preferred but not required
. SLPs who are interested in transitioning into Early Intervention and would benefit from mentorship and support are encouraged to apply.
