Key Responsibilities

• - Perform routine and complex laboratory tests (microscopic, bacteriological, hematological, immunologic).
• - Collect, prepare and store specimens.
• - Forward test results to physicians.
• - Keep accurate records.
• - Explain procedures to patients.
• - Prepare lab reagents.
• - Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• - Maintain safe working environment.

Certifications/Requirements

• - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification from ASCP or AMT required.
• - CPR/BLS certification.

Experience

• - Associate degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• - OR high school diploma with 3+ months documented full-time laboratory training per discipline.
• - 3+ months to 1 year acceptable clinical lab experience.
• - Experience in required areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology).
