Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Opportunities — Springfield & Peoria, Illinois

Avento Health is recruiting for multiple full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) opportunities in central Illinois with an established nonprofit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

These roles focus on behavioral assessment, behavior support planning, staff training, clinical consultation, and ongoing support for adults receiving residential and community-based services.

• Springfield, IL 62701 — $90,000–$105,000 annually
• Peoria, IL 61601 — $90,000–$105,000 annually

BCBAs provide behavioral services and clinical support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community-based settings. The work includes developing and monitoring individualized behavior support plans, completing behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments, analyzing data, training staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

• Develop, update, and oversee individualized behavior support plans
• Conduct behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments
• Analyze behavioral data and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Provide behavioral consultation to program and clinical teams
• Train direct support professionals and other staff on behavioral strategies
• Monitor implementation of behavior plans and identify opportunities for retraining
• Complete required clinical documentation and progress notes
• Collaborate with guardians, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support individuals with complex behavioral and developmental needs
• Provide services in residential, community, and other client environments
• Participate in treatment planning and clinical meetings
• Maintain compliance with applicable professional, regulatory, and payer requirements

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
• Experience developing and writing behavior support plans
• Experience with behavioral assessments, functional behavior assessments, and intervention planning
• Experience providing staff consultation and training
• Strong clinical documentation skills
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel locally between service locations as needed
• Willingness and ability to complete applicable Illinois Medicaid/IMPACT provider enrollment requirements if not already enrolled

• Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Experience in residential or community-based disability services
• Current Illinois DHS Level II approval
• Current or in-progress Illinois Medicaid provider enrollment
• Experience training direct support professionals
• Experience supporting interdisciplinary treatment teams

Full-time, W-2 position. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with flexibility based on client and program needs. Some phone-based on-call or urgent-response responsibilities may be required.

These are community-based clinical roles. BCBAs may have access to an office location, but much of the work is performed in individuals’ homes, residential programs, community settings, and other service environments.

The BCBA works closely with direct support professionals, QIDPs, nurses, program leadership, guardians, families, and other clinical professionals. There is no set minimum billable-hours requirement.
