Specialist - Software Engineering

• Seeking a Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience in Mainframe technologies including CICS Prompt Engineering, JCL, Git Hub CoPilot and Enterprise COBOL to develop support and optimize mainframe applications.

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise level mainframe applications using CICS and Enterprise COBOL.
• Implement and optimize batch jobs and online transaction processing programs using JCL.
• Utilize Git Hub CoPilot to enhance code quality and accelerate development.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve system interactions and automation.
• Perform impact analysis and code reviews to ensure application robustness and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including QA, business analysts and infrastructure for smooth application delivery.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as job flow diagrams and system specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and non‑production environments to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.

• Lead development and support activities for mainframe applications leveraging CICS, Enterprise COBOL and JCL.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents and service requests promptly to ensure high system availability.
• Perform unit integration and user acceptance testing to validate application functionality.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to ensure quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor batch job executions and system health proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Drive root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement permanent fixes.
• Support audit and compliance activities by maintaining Up To Date  documentation and processes.
