IT Consultant, Systems Analyst
About the Role
COUNTRY Financial seeks a dynamic, experienced, highly motivated Guidewire Solution Architect to join the Commercial & Agribusiness Insurance Application Development team. The role provides oversight and technical direction to teams comprised of business partners, technology team members, System Integrator and software vendors to deliver solutions supporting farm and commercial lines of business through the implementation of Guidewire Policy Center.
Responsibilities- Design solutions after gathering business and technical requirements.
- Develop software solutions that are high performing and meet technical standards.
- Support testing and problem solving/debugging of solutions.
- Implement software solutions following best practices.
- Work closely with software vendors and System Integrator vendors to ensure successful delivery of system functions that meet business partner expectations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to clear blockers and share successes of the teams.
- Typically requires 14+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with Commercial Lines Property/Casualty insurance products.
- Expert level knowledge of Guidewire’s Policy Center, including configuration and integration capabilities and cloud implementations.
- Demonstrated forward‑thinking skills and ability to contribute to overall business direction and recommend improvement ideas.
- Proven experience working with developers on technical requirements to design solutions.
- Demonstrated experience providing guidance on data model changes and code quality, including support of teams in code reviews.
- Proven ability to work with support teams to resolve complex performance issues.
- Experience creating process diagrams for business solutions and presenting them to leadership or business audiences.
- Ability to conduct impact analysis of a change to a system you support and identify other affected systems.
- Must be able to perform under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and show an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Proven ability to work within an Agile development life cycle, understanding the interactions between engineers, analysts and testers.
- Experience working on large strategic, multi‑phase projects involving multiple teams and 50+ employees.
- Experience using Rally and working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience with Dev Ops, CI/CD, Docker, Bit Bucket and Git Lab.
$138,800–$190,850
Incentive PayIn addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short‑Term Incentive plan.
