We're seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Infrastructure Engineer to support and optimize enterprise storage and data protection environments within a large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do:- Administer and support enterprise storage platforms including SAN, NAS, object storage, and backup solutions
- Manage data protection, disaster recovery, replication, and ransomware recovery capabilities
- Troubleshoot complex storage and backup issues and perform root cause analysis
- Lead storage refreshes, migration initiatives, and infrastructure improvement projects
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable storage solutions
- Automate operational tasks using Ansible and scripting
- Participate in Agile team activities and provide technical leadership to junior engineers
- 4+ years of enterprise Storage Engineering experience
- Strong experience with Net Backup or Commvault
- Hands‑on expertise with at least two major storage platforms such as IBM, Net App, Dell EMC, or Pure Storage
- Strong understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB
- Experience supporting disaster recovery, replication, and enterprise backup environments
- Experience with Ansible, Bash, or similar scripting tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- AWS storage services
- Kubernetes or Docker exposure
- Storage or cloud certifications
- Financial services or large enterprise infrastructure experience (Discover, Visa, Mastercard, JPMorgan Chase, Capital One, etc.)
This role is best suited for a Storage Engineer, Storage Administrator, Storage & Backup Engineer, SAN Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer who has supported large-scale production environments and understands the operational requirements of highly available enterprise systems.
