SOAR Engineer, Senior

We are seeking an experienced SOAR engineer to manage system infrastructure and applications for Booz Allen’s naval platforms.

• Develop Threat Defense Solutions focusing on detection and automation.
• Build security automation capabilities based on analyst requirements.
• Develop playbooks using SOAR platforms such as Tines, Palo Alto XSOAR, Splunk Phantom, or Swimlane.
• Integrate solutions via APIs and create custom apps or integrations.
• Use containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman) for deployment.
• Collaborate with security operations to support defensive cyber operations.

• 2+ years of experience building security automation capabilities.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Experience with containerization technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman.
• Experience with Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) platforms.
• Strong background in security operations, threat detection, and security engineering.
• HS diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Secret clearance required.

• Linux administration.
• Threat intelligence solutions such as ThreatQ, OpenCTI, or Analyst

• Version control systems such as Git.
• Log management platforms such as Elastic Stack or Splunk.
• Experience supporting Defensive Cyber Operations.
• Experience integrating with AI systems.
• Experience in regulated environments such as DoD or Intelligence Community.
• Knowledge of AI gateway security.
• Knowledge of HTML, JS, CSS.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles.

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is required.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $86,800–$198,000 USD, based on factors such as location, education, experience, and organizational requirements.
