What you’ll do
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end delivery of innovative solutions on the Appian platform, ensuring that project objectives align with customer expectations and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and account managers to identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts, supporting integrated deals and expanding project scope where appropriate.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, including developers, architects, and designers, to facilitate smooth project execution and address any technical challenges that arise.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle, implementing mitigation strategies to prevent delays or scope creep.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and executive leadership, to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the creation of proposals, statements of work, and project documentation to define deliverables, scope, and success criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standards during project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and report on progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the delivery team by sharing lessons learned and best practices.
  • Assist in onboarding new team members and clients, providing training and guidance to ensure smooth integration into project workflows.
  • Support demand generation activities by identifying new opportunities and assisting in the development of strategic account plans.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer strategic goals and industry trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Work on-site in McLean, Virginia, with an expectation of working 4-5 days a week in the office to foster collaboration and teamwork.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an agile delivery environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or managerial role overseeing project teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of business using financial management tools and metrics.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale technology programs and agile delivery teams, including working closely with architects and product designers.
  • Strong understanding of customer strategic goals, with the ability to develop application roadmaps and compelling business cases to support project initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in software consulting, especially in ERP, CRM, BPM/Workflow, or Data Integration Architecture, is preferred.
  • Background supporting Department of Defense contracts, particularly with Army, Navy, or USAF, is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% annually for customer engagements and site visits.
