This position is part of a career ladder ranging from Associate Application Analyst to Sr Application Analyst. The selected candidate will be placed into the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience, and compensation will be commensurate with that level.

Purpose and SummaryAssists with point‑of‑sale applications and hardware support—including Agvance modules and other software systems—to provide maximum benefit to users and assist in sales, marketing, and training of applications to new users.
Essential Job Functions- Provides training and assistance to IT Portfolio Staff, the IMS Support group, end users, and select GROWMARK employees to ensure users receive support that exceeds expectations.
- Assists with the development, testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support of IMS‑supported point‑of‑sale applications and hardware, ensuring accurate interface with Agvance and other support software applications.
- Researches point‑of‑sale systems to ensure they are enhanced with industry best practices and are user‑friendly.
- Coordinates with others in IT Portfolio to align and coordinate all technology and software systems both within GROWMARK and at the retail level.
- Creates, maintains, and distributes documentation and manuals for assigned software applications and hardware.
- Distributes and installs the current version of all assigned applications, ensuring users receive the latest software.
- Assists with installation and support of agronomy hardware and software systems at member cooperatives, working with users and GROWMARK product and support divisions.
- Assists in evaluating new software, associated hardware, and services to be offered to end users.
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as applicable.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, accounting, business, or equivalent, with at least four years of related work experience demonstrating applications knowledge and the ability to provide computer software recommendations and leadership to agri‑businesses.
- Understanding and experience with computer services‑related areas, including system trends, general accounting, and agri‑business.
- Knowledge of GROWMARK’s customized Agvance application and its interfaces with assigned applications, as well as hardware design and integration.
- Ability to provide technical support, resource management, and training to new and existing users.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.
- Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem‑solving, and project management skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical material.
- Team‑building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.
- Willingness to travel independently, including overnight trips, as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on company policies and procedures related to the position.
