The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic, relationship-driven environment and brings a proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical construction projects.

In this role, you will provide leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle—from preconstruction planning and estimating through execution, closeout, and long-term client relationship management. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborate closely with field leadership and executive stakeholders, and play a key role in driving both project success and future business opportunities.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Forest Park, IL, offering the opportunity to lead high-profile electrical projects while helping shape the continued growth and reputation of a company that has been a trusted industry leader for more than 100 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Assume full ownership of project financial performance, including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change order management, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, general contractors, engineers, and key project stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional communication, responsiveness, and trusted partnership.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, engineering, field supervision, and executive leadership to drive seamless project execution.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers, project engineers, and field leaders while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, construction methods, value engineering opportunities, and material procurement strategies.
  • Lead project meetings, negotiate project changes, resolve challenges, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Participate in business development and client engagement activities, including networking events, site visits, industry functions, golf outings, lunches, dinners, and sporting events.
What you need to succeed

We are seeking an experienced electrical construction professional who combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership, business acumen, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience within electrical construction.
  • Demonstrated success managing commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, data center, mission-critical, or other large-scale electrical projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, project financials, and contract management.
  • Experience managing project budgets ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar electrical contracts.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, coordinate field operations, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong client‑facing experience with a history of developing and maintaining long‑term customer relationships.
  • Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project schedules.
  • Proficiency with electrical estimating and project management software such as Accubid, Con Est, Vision Info Soft, McCormick, or similar platforms.
