Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly
Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe Test Operator is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and verifying the functionality of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies during manufacturing. This role supports production quality by operating test equipment, identifying defects, documenting results, and working with engineering and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications.
The Test Operator operates and sets up in-circuit, manufacturing defect, or functional testers and reports results.
- Ensures that circuit boards are fully operational according to Zentech or customer specifications
- Accumulates and records test data and failures for materials, devices, and products
- Other duties as assigned
- Perform functional, in-circuit, and automated testing on assembled circuit boards.
- Operate electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test systems.
- Identify, isolate, and document defects or failures in PCB assemblies.
- Read and interpret schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Record test results and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues on failed boards
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and safety procedures.
- Communicate test failures and recurring issues to technicians or engineers.
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to read and interpret work instructions
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or associate degree in electronics preferred.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB testing preferred.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and circuits.
- Ability to use hand tools and electronic measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD handling procedures is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light materials.
While performing these duties, the employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, reach with hand and arm, and talk or hear. Employee may be required to lift to 50 lbs.
