Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machinist in Bloomington, Illinois.
As a CNC Machinist you will:
- Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical lathes and machining centers to produce high-quality precision parts
- Create and modify machine programs to optimize performance and efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining
- Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and materials for a variety of machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
This is a Full time/Temp to hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–3 years of CNC machining experience or related manufacturing background
- Proven ability to perform complex machine setups and independently produce high-quality prototype parts
- Experience working with multiple machine controllers and making program edits (with supervisor approval)
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and using data to maintain consistent, high-quality output
- Working knowledge of common "1E" specifications and industry quality standards
Pay Rate: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
