Production Associate Lead

Value Stream 1 – Portables

Provides work leadership to junior level associates through assignment of work, training, coordination and checking of assignments. Serves as a resource to junior level associates in the resolution of complex problems and tasks and as the primary point of contact to internal departments for quality, workflow, product and equipment issues on the production line. This position requires on‑site work at our Elgin, IL facility.

Target Base Salary Range: $37,200 – $55,700. Pay within this range varies based on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience.

• Provide input to the Value Stream Manager on decisions that impact line efficiency.
• Learn all set‑ups before starting the production line.
• Assist operators and maintenance with equipment troubleshooting.
• Monitor line operation, performance and downtime throughout the shift.
• Become a product subject‑matter expert with thorough product knowledge.
• Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen.
• Assure 5S implementation and sustainability.
• Work daily with cross‑functional teams, engineering, schedulers and leadership.

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for 8 hours or more if working overtime.
• Light computer skills and ability to read/enter data.
• Ability to read build documentation.
• Quality/safety conscious with sharp attention to detail.
• Good attendance record and ability to work 40+ hours weekly, including weekends and overtime.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Quick learner who follows verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work with light fabrication equipment.
• Must be able to operate torque equipment; good hand dexterity.
• Willingness to rotate between positions based on business needs.
• Must wear steel‑toed shoes.
• Preferred:
  Oracle systems knowledge.
• Preferred:
  Basic soldering skills.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 or more years of manufacturing or related experience.
