A Quality Technician in the Receiving and Inspection (R&I) Department performs daily inspections of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), excipients, film, and various packaging materials to ensure the materials being received are produced in accordance with company methodology, procedures, and standards. R&I Quality Technicians are also responsible for documentation review to ensure compliance with material specifications.

• Completes sampling and inspection of all API and excipients used in the formulation of finished product in Round Lake Drug Delivery.
• Completes sampling and inspection of all printed direction inserts, Labels, Cartons, and other various packaging materials used in Round Lake Drug Delivery.
• Releases materials for production after quality inspections and/or tests are completed and acceptable.
• Uses small hand tools and various measuring and testing devices in performing quality tests.
• Strong computer/software literacy, preferred experience with material inventory management systems.
• Completes data entries in GME and Labvantage for materials.
• Completes required weekly cleaning in the Non-Cephalosporin clean room.
• Packages samples to be sent to external testing labs.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed to meet the production schedule.
• Will work in Non-Cephalosporin, Cephalosporin, and Penicillin facilities as needed.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements.
• Complete understanding of cGMPs and GDP procedures.
• The candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• 20/30 vision in at least one eye with or without corrective lenses.
• The candidate must be able to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment with minimal direct supervision.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $44,800 - $67,200 annually. The estimated salary is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.

We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
