Job Overview

The Outpatient Infusion Department/Pediatric Unit is committed to our Nursing Professional Practice Model and provides exceptional care in an eleven‑bed inpatient unit combined with a 24/7 outpatient infusion department. The unit serves patients from newborn to adulthood, administering treatments such as blood products, specialty medications, chemotherapy, hydration, and antibiotics.

• Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care to support integration of information for the health‑care team.
• Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care based on unit standards and patient/family needs.
• Implement the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient‑care procedures.
• Modify the plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.
• Communicate with others directly or privately as necessary to resolve issues.
• Monitor intake and output of all pediatric patient assignments.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and administer medications using proper bar‑code scanning.
• Notify appropriate providers of high‑alert laboratory results.
• Serve as the mandated reporter for all suspected abuse or neglect cases.

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• National Nursing Certification within 3 years (varies).

• Sign‑On Bonus $10,000 (3‑year commitment).
• Relocation Bonus $5,000.
• Relocation Bonus $2,500 for moves 50–100 miles.
• BSN Bonus $2,500.
• Compensation is dependent on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model. A good faith minimum and maximum range has been provided for reference.
