Metro Infusion Center (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a part‑time basis at the clinics located in Bloomington, IL + Peoria, IL
.
Schedule: 3 Days/week (24 hours; 8:30am-5pm); flexible weekdays.
Locations: Bloomington, IL + Peoria, IL (expected to travel to both clinics throughout the week).

- Place peripheral lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) for new patients and teach infusion patients how to self‑administer medications; document in the medical record.
- Review and chart daily laboratory results, passing information to physicians and/or patients as needed.
- E‑prescribe prescriptions per doctor’s order and communicate with pharmacies.
- Receive and return patient and other calls.
- Review EMR charts for next day’s appointments, ordering lab results, consult reports or notes as necessary, and document all required fields to be eligible for meaningful use.
- Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office and schedule appointments as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
- Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities.
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility.
- Support professional practice by observing the following:
1) Standards of Nursing Practice;
2) JCAHO, state and local laws;
3) MIDC policy. - Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current IL RN license.
- At least two years RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion‑related practice.
- Infusion experience.
- Chemo experience is preferred, but not required.
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID‑19).
