Christie Clinic's Department of Endocrinology in Bloomington at Medical Hills is seeking a full-time LPN/RN to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm. Night or weekend shifts are not required. The position allows for a hybrid/remote schedule of one day per week after successful training and competency completion.

- Administer prescribed medications, treatment and injections in accordance with nursing standards and provider directions.
- Prepare equipment and assist the provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
- Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
- Act as liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
- Respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
- Perform special testing on patients.
- Give injections to patients and draw blood as needed in accordance with nursing standards and provider directions.
- Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies for medications and procedures.
- Perform related work as required.
- Arrange for patient testing and admission.
- Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and provider directions.
- Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.
- Attend and participate in departmental huddles and any other meetings as necessary.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Evidence of annual completion of health‑related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s.
- Professional nursing experience.
- Possession of an Illinois State LPN or Registered Nurse License.
- CPR Certification.
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within or correctable to normal range, vision correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity for office equipment operation are required.
Typical Working ConditionsWork is performed in a clinical setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids, and other waste common to a health care environment. Work may include irregular hours.
Pay and BenefitsThe estimated pay range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses, is $22.94 to $44.55 per hour, based on skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related criteria. LPN pay range: $22.94 to $31.54 per hour. RN pay range: $32.40 to $44.55 per hour.
