Position
Quality Control Manager
SummaryAs a Quality Control Manager at an automotive component manufacturer producing transmission parts, you will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining overall plant quality at acceptable customer levels. This role creates, documents, and communicates proper quality procedures to plant personnel while ensuring they are adequately trained. You will serve as the first line of communication for customer quality issues—providing documentation for "clean points" and corrective actions—and support advanced quality planning for all new product launches.
EssentialDuties
- Ensure overall plant quality is maintained at customer expectations
- Manage and maintain the ISO system for Toyo USA Manufacturing
- Create and communicate required quality policies and provide quality training for plants
- Handle all customer and internal quality concerns, including performing quality investigations and preparing corrective actions
- Prepare and communicate "Clean-Point" analysis for quality concerns
- Create control plans for all new product launches and perform quality control analysis/maintenance for suppliers
- Maintain all gage certifications and calibrations for quality equipment
- Supervise the Quality Technician and direct quality control personnel
- Establish and maintain key quality personnel relationships with customers, including traveling for meetings and issue resolution
- Conduct daily visual inspections, control line gaging, analyze reports, and conduct measurements using specialized quality equipment

Salary / Benefit$60-70K
Qualifications- 4 years Quality Engineering Degree, or at least 4 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in establishing quality assurance procedures, designing/improving company quality standards, and managing quality training
- Ability to read blueprints, program lab equipment, verify program changes, and handle CPK data for new product studies
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and managing sorting vendors
- Willingness to travel to customers (including locations in Illinois and North Carolina)
- Adherence to company attendance policies and maintenance of professional appearance/attitude with co-workers, suppliers, and customers
