Expected pay for this position is $17.66-$19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skill, and internal equity.

Prepares and presents high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customer’s orders and prepares the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
  
  6 months in a healthcare or restaurant facility.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Grandfathered exemption for Cook position at Saint Francis Medical Center prior to 9/1/2020.
• FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification.
• Heart of Mary Medical Center (HMMC) & Mother house:
  Cooks must have Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must possess basic math skills and follow instructions.
• Willing and capable of working in a fast paced environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes in schedule, assignments, and environment.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Culinary Degree.
• Experience:
  
  2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility.
