The RoleThe Presidio Account Manager engages with customers and technology partners to drive business growth, nurtures existing client relationships, and prospect for new opportunities.
Responsibilities- Customer Engagement & Account Growth: develop and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
- Prospecting New Business: identify and engage prospective customers in target industries, develop new business leads, and convert prospects into long‑term clients.
- Sales Strategy Execution: develop and execute account plans aligned with sales targets and customer business objectives; collaborate with internal teams.
- Operational Command: maintain a strong operational understanding of accounts, ensuring seamless delivery of services and solutions; track performance metrics, forecast revenue, and analyze account health.
- Collaboration with Partners: build and maintain relationships with Presidio’s technology partners (AWS, Microsoft, Cisco) to create joint go‑to‑market strategies.
- Achieve & Exceed Quotas: meet or exceed assigned revenue targets and engagement goals through proactive relationship management and consultative selling.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work/military experience.
- 3–5 years of technology sales experience, working with technology partners to drive joint sales opportunities.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with a focus on customer retention and new business development.
- Strong operational skills: ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently, forecast, and track account health.
- Provide in‑depth customer technology roadmap and collaborate with inside account managers.
- Develop partnerships with vendor field sales representatives and optimize joint selling opportunities within the territory.
- Use monthly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field.
- Highly motivated, results‑driven, passionate about building relationships and delivering customer success.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Problem‑solving mindset focused on delivering tailored solutions.
- High performing AMs demonstrate the ability to overcome obstacles, achieve sales goals, and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
