Cycling Specialist - Bloomington Cycle & Fitness (Bloomington, IL)

The Cycling Specialist acts as the front line and point person for the store, serving riders directly in‑store and remotely as host, mentor, brand advocate, and customer service ace. The specialist identifies and locates goods, services, and experiences needed to provide quick and frictionless solutions, aiming to keep riders cycling longer and better.

• Deliver world‑class rider service that ensures ongoing sales and high rider satisfaction.
• Engage riders: meet and connect, ask questions, listen to needs, provide options and advice.
• Inspire and celebrate purchases, creating a lasting positive impression of the specialist and the Specialized brand.
• Provide transformative, inclusive, ride‑focused, locally authentic experiences for staff and riders in and out of the store.
• Assist in maintaining visual merchandising standards and restocking as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness standards at opening, throughout the day, and at close, including light janitorial duty.
• Use company literature, resources, and training to stay current on product features.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand.
• Experience in a bike shop preferred.
• Prior retail experience and at least 1year of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; able to effectively interact with riders and team members.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, kneel, and reach as required.
• Ability to lift at least 50lb with proper technique.

Hourly wage of $19.50–$22.00, dependent on experience, skills, certification, and location.
