Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a working knowledge of electrical systems to support the day-to-day maintenance of our facility and equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, basic electrical repair knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, HVAC, and facility equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns, component failures, and system malfunctions
- Conduct basic electrical work such as replacing sensors, motors, fuses, switches, and wiring under supervision or within safe voltage ranges
- Assist with equipment installations and facility improvements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and parts inventory
- Follow safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety training
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial setting
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with electrical tools and safety practices
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
- Willingness to be on-call or work overtime as needed
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, or industrial automation
- OSHA safety training or other relevant certifications
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
